Holiday lights once again adorn the trees at the Village Green—an annual tradition.
“They look a bit different from years past, as the fire department had trouble getting the colored light strands to fall down from the top,” according to Village Green Board Co-Chair Betsy Collins. “As a result, one of our board members arranged for a tree service to come out and untangle some of the light strands. To boost the lights, little white lights were added to the pine trunk.”

Local Girl Scout Troop 70855 recently unveiled a Free Little Community Library they constructed for the Summit neighborhood of The Highlands, organized by the Summit Recreation Committee. Attendees got to snack on donuts and coffee, and were encouraged to bring a book to add to the library.
“We are thrilled to celebrate this positive addition to our community, and we hope it fosters community spirit and brings our neighbors together,” shared Peter Culhane, a Summit HOA board member.
Girl Scouts who participated included Allie Pokrywka, Isabella Acosta, Charlie Garrick, Jaya Lewis and Leah Jung, who are led by Summit member Mirna Pokrywka.
