The SAM Initiative, a local giving circle comprised of women from Westside communities, including Pacific Palisades, announced its 2018 grant recipients. A total of $250,000 was distributed to four local nonprofit organization that are working to address needs in the greater Los Angeles community: Angel City Sports, Saving Innocence, The Ulmer Institute and With Love Market & Café. The Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of Dr. Michael Sababi’s Via De La Paz office.
Barrett Eastman and Maren Meier of the Corpus Christi Choir sang a cappella pieces from “The Sound of Music” at a recent Palisades Alliance for Seniors’ meeting at Palisades Branch Library.
Palisades Charter High School student Daniel Gottesman was awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship. The 2,500 Merit Scholar awardees were selected from a pool of more than 15,000 finalists in the 2018 program.
