
More than 50 singers from the Village School Choir program performed at Palisades Village on Tuesday, December 10. They entertained shoppers, family and friends with holiday classics such as “Winter Wonderland” and new Hanukkah songs like “Light” by Lisa Loeb.

Derick Hughes and The Master Plan, a San Francisco-based soul band, spent 24 hours in Pacific Palisades, performing at three events: the grand opening of Elizabeth Lamont’s store on Sunset Boulevard, Pearl Dragon, and a fundraiser for local animal rescues and firefighters. Hughes, a former lead singer of Tower of Power, tours with Roberta Flack as a lead vocalist.

The Pacific Palisades Republican Club recently hosted its annual holiday party on December 8 at the residence of Board Member Heather Babber, which featured a performance by the Palisades Charter High School Choir.

Palisadian Christopher O’Brien is interviewed by the National Children’s Chorus Artistic Director Luke McEndarfer at the recent debut of his composition, “Flames,” at UCLA’s Royce Hall.

Students from Palisades Charter High School that are a part of Human Rights Watch’s LA-based Student Task Force were recognized by Human Rights Educators USA for a national award for youth activism on Tuesday, December 10—International Human Rights Day. The task force was awarded for its outstanding efforts to promote youth advocacy for human rights.
