Following 47 years of live holiday-time performances, Westside Ballet of Santa Monica is releasing “Kingdom of the Sweets”—a virtual, abbreviated rendition of “The Nutcracker”—featuring Santa Monica Canyon resident Stella Grynberg on Friday, December 18. The show will include previously recorded Black Box dress rehearsals. Grynberg performed both lead roles, Dew Drop Fairy and Sugar Plum Fairy, all filmed in an open-air space with masks and COVID-19 safety protocols in place.
