Event Features 300-Plus Artisans, Vendors and Presenters Offering 100-Plus Specialty Classes and DIY Seminars; Tickets On Sale Now
Pinners Conference and Expo returns to Southern California at the Pomona Fairplex (1101 W McKinley Avenue, Pomona) promising DIY enthusiasts and creatives and a weekend packed with hands-on workshops, innovative presentations and plentiful shopping opportunities.
From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, August 23, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, August 24, at the annual event brings together foodies, crafters, artists and creatives to feature more than 300 vendors sharing their wares and 100-plus classes.
Offering instruction and guidance on everything from jewelry-making and party-planning to knitting, crocheting and cake-decorating, Pinners is the ultimate destination for anyone looking to expand their skills and creativity in a lively, supportive setting.
“We’re thrilled to bring Pinners back to Southern California for another exciting year of creativity and community,” Pinners CEO Roxanne Bennett said. “A celebration of craftsmanship and innovation, Pinners promises an inspiring weekend where likeminded locals can come together to learn, create and connect.”
Many of the classes and workshops offered at Pinners aren’t easily found at craft stores, community colleges or boutiques, giving attendees a rare chance to develop specialized skills and techniques under the direct tutelage of professional artisans and instructors. Learn to craft Halloween-themed home decor or a festive Christmas tree tray during hands-on workshops, or master the art of calligraphy, brush lettering or macrame in a series of special classes and instructional seminars, among near-countless other opportunities.
“If you’ve ever admired the craftsmanship showcased on Pinterest and imagined bringing your own creative visions to life, here’s your chance to learn from the pros and transform your ideas into reality,” Bennett said. “Whether you come with a specific goal in mind or are seeking inspiration on the spot, Pinners guarantees a wealth of workshops and activities with something sure to appeal to everyone.”
Pinners California is possible thanks to support from generous sponsors including the Dixie Belle Paint Company, The Polished Jar, Makerflo Crafts, Ryobi, Minky Couture/The Heart of Minky Couture, Ninja Transfers and Magnolia Design Co.
Some Pinners classes require “Class Kits” for an additional fee and are available in advance or onsite. While a limited number of pre-registration opportunities are available, Pinners attendees may also register for classes onsite.
