The Palisades High baseball team only let victory slip away Tuesday against host University, but relief pitcher Tyler Yeh wouldn’t let it happen.
Yeh struck out two batters in the sixth and struck out the side in the seventh to preserve a 3-2 win at Venice High.
“Roben Sieling pitched a great game so I wanted to finish it off for him,” said Yeh, who began the game at second base and turned a 4-6-3 double play with shortstop Harrison Hart to end a Uni threat in the fifth.
Henry Coquillard hit a bases-loaded single to score the winning run in the seventh.
University rebounded to blank the Dolphins 4-0 Thursday at George Robert Field.
