The Palisades High girls volleyball team treated last Friday’s trip to El Camino Real like a playoff match and the Dolphins played like it, beating the host Conquistadores, 25-21, 26-28, 25-16, 25-23, to further establish themselves as the favorites for the City championship.
Palisades had beaten another West Valley League school, Taft, in the semifinals of the Venice Tournament six days earlier. The Dolphins fell to Granada Hills, also from the West Valley League, in the City Division I finals last season.
Palisades swept University last Thursday and did the same to Fairfax on Monday. The Dolphins went for their 80th straight Western League victory yesterday against visiting Westchester.
