Junior Melanie Matayoshi and sophomore Lillia Weismuller each shot a 45 to share medalist honors and lead the Palisades High girls golf team to victory in last Friday’s second Western League match.
The defending league champion Dolphins (4-0) totaled 255 over nine holes at Penmar (par 34) to win by 40 strokes over University, which was without reigning league individual champion Kara Temena, who was sick. Westchester had only four players and did not factor into the team scoring.
Sophomore Mariana Paleno shot a 52 while Sara Medernach and Abby Brown each carded a 56 and Spencer Kellen fired a 57 for Palisades, which tees it up again today at Penmar.
