Palisades High golfer Grant Ebner shot a 74 in the first round a 73 in the second to win the Bel-Air Junior Club Championship last weekend in Bel Air.
Ebner spent the summer refining his game after he and the Golfin’ Dolphins fell three strokes short of their fourth straight City Section title in May, despite Ebner carding three birdies on his way to a 4-over par 76 (the second-lowest score on the team) in the finals in Griffith Park.
A week earlier, Ebner fired a 77 on the same course to finish third at league finals.
Ebner is beginning his senior year at Pali High and hopes to help the Golfin’ Dolphins regain the City crown in the spring.
Along with teammates Ethan Rautbort and Will Holbrow, he volunteers with Junior Blind of America by coaching for Junior Blind programs and the Junior Blind Olympics and has co-chaired various fundraisers with the leaders of the organization.
