The 2014 CIF All-City Section girls volleyball team has been chosen and Palisades High setters Faylenn McDonough (a senior) and Delaney Arth (a junior) are the Division I co-Players of the Year. The list was released a week after the two Dolphins were named co-MVPs of the Western League.
Joining McDonough and Arth on the All-City Division I first team is sophomore libero Olivia Zelon, who just verbally committed to the University of Texas. Zelon led the Dolphins in digs this season, which culminated in a 29th section championship.
Also making the Division I first team were Levila Iosua of Carson, Alex Ardaki of El Camino Real and Hannah Patton, Rachel Kayongo and Sarah Hagge of City finalist Granada Hills.
Carlos Gray was named Division I Coach of the Year after piloting Palisades to the title in just his second season.
