The Palisades High boys and girls soccer teams will compete in Division I in the City Section playoffs in 2016-17.
The boys squad, coached by Dave Suarez, won the Division I title for the first time last season. The girls, coached by Christian Chambers, lost in the Division I quarterfinals to San Pedro. Both were Western League champions last season. Division I boys and girls playoff brackets will consist of 24 teams.
There will be a mandatory coaches meeting Oct. 13 at Sotomayor High, first allowable practices are Nov. 7 and first allowable games are Nov. 14.
