The Palisades U10 All-Star girls team, Pali Real, won the Apricot Jam Tournament on April 6 in Moorpark.
Pali won its pool play and advanced to the championship match against a feisty Carpentaria team. In a seesaw title battle, Pali Real emerged with a 4-3 win, culminating a weekend in which it outscored its opponents by a 12-7 margin. In the second game of the playoffs, Sydney Brown netted a hat trick with three goals, and in the finals Noelle Winter also had a trick.
Alexa Sikola and Dexter Mayo also scored goals during the tournament, and the goaltending by Dylan Drinkwater was stellar throughout.
Coached by James Buerge and Trevor Drinkwater, other members of Pali Real are Olivia Rosen, Jae Pinkner and Phoebe Feldman.
