Local Students to March for Climate Justice | The Village
In collaboration with nationwide Fridays for Future events, students from Palisades Charter High School and other area schools will make their way up Temescal Canyon Road to Palisades Village Green in a parade for climate justice on Friday, September 15.
“The youth are rising up, just like our oceans, in a climate march,” according to an announcement. The march will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 6 p.m.
Locally founded environmental organization Resilient Palisades announced its support of the Pali High students, and will be setting up a table and helping close off the street ahead of time.
“Please join us … as we show our kids that we care about the climate too and are willing to show up to support a better future for our youth,” according to Resilient Palisades. “Kids and adults of all ages are encouraged to attend. Parents, please spread the word at your kids’ schools.”
