Rotary Texas Holdem Poker Fundraiser is May 9

Palisadians are “All in for Kids” as sponsors of the Rotary Club’s Texas Holdem fundraiser, Saturday, May 9. The event, which is a charity fundraiser, will take place at Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Participation in the event is limited to 100 players, and tickets are selling fast! Seats can be reserved online at: poker.palisadesrotary.com.

Funds raised from this event support good works in our town, including youth programs.  Members of the Rotary Club in Pacific Palisades, part of an international service organization, have dedicated themselves to improving our community by raising funds for local charities and volunteering where needed. Corporate affiliation with the Rotary Club includes virtually all major US companies and foundation support is widespread, led by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Locally, the charity Texas Holdem tournament has shown to be successful in engaging Palisadians in donating while having fun.

Sponsorships and ticket sales support two well-known organizations in the Palisades, which have served the community for over 50 years. The Rotary Club of Pacific Palisades is a service organization that meets weekly on Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. at Aldersgate Retreat Center. Visitors are welcome. The Palisades-Malibu YMCA provides fitness, programs and family activities that strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Questions?
