It was a very busy summer for former Palisades High soccer star Kaitlyn Parcell, who made her collegiate debut with Santa Clara University last Thursday. Wearing No. 5 — the same number she donned for the Dolphins — the 2015-16 Post Cup Award winner played about 20 minutes in the Broncos’ 4-0 victory over Seattle University.

Parcell, the only Pali High player to tally 50 goals and 50 assists in her varsity career, reported to Santa Clara nine days after Pali High graduation and has been practicing twice a day, six days a week ever since.Santa Clara was ranked 21st in the country in the NCAA Division I preseason poll.
