Palisadian Miles Partain and his partner Paul Lotman were runners up at the ATP Phoenix Open, falling 15-13 in the third set to Taylor Sand and Taylor Crabb in the final. Partain had 24 kills and only three hitting errors and dug nine balls. The fourth-seeded Partain and Lotman beat Andy Benesh and Caseu Patterson in the quarterfinals and edged Trevor Crabb and Tri Bourne in the semifinals.
The 20-year-old Partain was raised in the Alphabet Streets, won three City crowns at Palisades High and plays indoor at UCLA. He teamed with Lotman for his first ATP Tour title in Atlanta in early August. They have a 27-11 match record in 2022.
