Update: Northbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway reopened from Sunset Boulevard to Temescal Canyon Road around 5 p.m., followed by southbound lanes at 6 p.m.
All lanes of Pacific Coast Highway are shut down in both directions from Sunset Boulevard to Temescal Canyon Road due to downed power lines, according to Caltrans. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has been called to respond. There is no estimate of when the road will be reopened.
