The second annual open house festivities will be held this Saturday, April 13, at the Palisades High pool.
Lap and recreation swimming will be free to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tower 26, which trains athletes to participate in triathlons, invites guests to try the master’s workout from 8 to 10 a.m. Visit: tower26.com
Westside Aquatics will sponsor a free freestyle clinic from 9 to 10 a.m. (ages 8 to 14, must be able to swim), “bring a friend” for water polo or a free class at 10 a.m. (ages 11 to 16, must be able to swim), face painting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and free group swim lessons from 10 a.m. to noon. Representatives from the Palisades-Malibu YMCA, Boot Camp H2O, Malibu Divers Scuba, Ocean Adventures Scuba, One With The Water Swim Lessons, and Swimming LA Adult Swim Lessons will provide information and demonstrations.
PaliHi swimmers and pool lifeguards are participating in a lap-a-thon fundraiser, “Swim for Pali.” Proceeds from each lap will help pay for converting a storage garage into a convertible classroom space that will provide a hang-out after swimming and a place for community Red Cross trainings and swim clinics.
