Several neighborhoods in Pacific Palisades are experiencing a power outage that is also impacting other areas of Los Angeles after a circuit breaker caused a fire in one of the receiving stations, LADWP told the Palisadian-Post.
LADWP de-energized the receiving station at about 1:30 p.m., resulting in a power outage affecting 23,000 customers.
The Alphabet Streets, El Medio Bluffs, Huntington, Via Bluffs, Castellammare, Bel-Air Bay Club and Highlands Village by the Beach shopping center have all reported blackouts.
Traffic lights are out throughout the Palisades and at PCH and Chautauqua, causing backups.
LADWP has crews working on the problem but has no estimate when power will be restored.
