Weather permitting the Pacific Palisades Baseball Association will hold its player evaluations for the upcoming 2021 spring season this Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 13-14 at the Palisades Recreation Center’s Field of Dreams.
Longtime PPBA Commissioner Bob Benton is excited to announce registration is now open for boys and girls ages 7-14 as of August 31, 2021 (born on or after May 1, 2006 and on or before August 31, 2014) are invited to participate in one of four divisions: Pinto (ages 7-8), Mustang (9-10), Bronco (11-12) and Pony (13-14). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, practices begin in March, one month later than usual.
The PPBA has been providing baseball instruction to youth of Pacific Palisades, Brentwood and Santa Monica since 1954. The PPBA is a volunteer organization with teams coached by parents (no paid coaching). It is not a club.
All players are required to be evaluated before the draft. Both new and returning players are allowed to show their skills. Board members rate each player on a scale of 1-10 and players are then given a draft score.
The fee is $450 per player and the registration deadline is next Monday, Feb. 15.
