Local Highlands lunch joint Roast is facing eviction, according to court documents posted on the restaurant’s Palisades Drive window.
Those papers, filed by property landlord Village Partners LLC, allege that the restaurant’s owner has failed to uphold the terms of the rental agreement and served them a summons to appear notice on Dec. 29.
The notice came days after the restaurant closed down unexpectedly by posting a sign in the window stating that it was “closed for vacation” and would reopen in February with a brand new menu.
A manager at Roast’s Brentwood location told the Palisadian-Post on Tuesday, Jan. 16, that the owners were aware of the notice and were still sorting things out with the landlord.
