The Palisades High boys and girls cross country teams were out in full force Saturday morning for the 33rd annual Bell Gardens Invitational at Cerritos Regional Park. The Dolphins had runners place in the top 10 in three of the four boys races.
Junior Lucas Schriver took seventh in the senior race, running the three-mile course in 14:52.96. Schriver was third in 15:20 in the varsity boys red race at the Eagle Invitational in El Segundo in September, leading the Dolphins to third place in the team standings.
Hunter Steinman was the next Palisades finisher Saturday, coming in 35th in 15:58.50. Bo Brooks was 73rd in 16:42.68, Mark Barboza was 87th in 16:57.02 and Sahararth Haubrich was 168th in 18:19.93.

In the junior race, Brett Bailey was fifth in 15:36.40. Pablo Sandoval Rivas was 64th in 17:08.14 and Phillip Venkov was 80th in 17:27.82.
Four other Dolphins were in the stellar field: Noah Campbell (17:55.80), William Hamm (18:17.14), Aaron Tizabgar (19:00.26) and Nathan Partielle (19:02.43).
In the sophomore boys race, Jeremy Santiago placed sixth in 15:55.27 and Alec Schmitt was eighth in 16:10.24. Jose Sevilla was 31st in 17:00.49 and Joshua Kovacs was 65th in 17:53.77. Rounding out Palisades’ runners were David Tobin (18:06.95), Rodrigo Hernandez (18:38.72), Tyson Brazil (18:50.68), Noah Wexler (18:51.67), Joshua Khrorsandi (19:49.69) and Keanu Natan (19:55.27).
In the freshman race, Levy Shaked was 18th in 17:49.56, Dylan Ferguson was 33rd in 18:17.62, Elan Lee was 34th in 18:18.01 and Daylen Dacay was 44th in 18:25.05. Five other Dolphins were in the ninth-grade field: Milo Dunne (19:27.20), Toby Scaduto (19:57.59), Arturs Ullis (19:59.10), Omar Juarez (20:02.76) and Naveen Rutgers (20:51.12).
Sarah Bentley led the girls squad in the senior race, clocking 18:50.49 for eighth overall. Maya Datwyler (23:04.02) was also in the field.
In the junior girls division the Dolphins were represented by Natasha Mueller (25:04.30) and Skylar Rudolf (28:57.78).
In the sophomore division, Scarlett Klein (70th in 22:30.98) paced Palisades’ contingent, followed by Avery Searle (25:40.82), Ashlee Mailander (26:06.50) and Alyssa Dean (20:16.90).
The final race of the event was the freshman girls, where Sydney Suh clocked 20:23.18 to finish in seventh place and Palisades teammate Layla Adeli was 16th in 21:31.51.
Rounding out the Dolphins’ participants were Julia Musumeci (21:47.29), Julia Leviadin (22:32.13), Naya Ramaswami (22:43.90), Ava Baak (23:15.09), Fiona Herzog (24:10.63), Victoria Hernandez (24:47.02), Amanda Shane (25:06.70) and Ava Venkov (27:02.31).
The Dolphins have a league meet next Monday at Pierce College and head to Walnut for the Mt. SAC Invitational on Oct. 26.
