The goal for Palisades High’s cross country team heading into its last Western League dual meet at Kenneth Hahn Park was to win all divisions. Mission accomplished.
Freshman Brent Smith took first place in 17:24 in the varsity boys race last Thursday as the Dolphins swept the top nine spots.
Senior Emma Ulfvengren clocked 21:41 to take second place in the varsity girls race as the Dolphins took the second through ninth places.
Anna Bohuny won the junior varsity girls race in 24:12 as the Dolphins swept the top five places and fellow junior Jonathan Flores was first in the junior varsity boys race in 18:54 as the Dolphins swept the top five positions.
Lulu Takei won the frosh/soph girls race in 24:53 as the Dolphins swept the first eight places and fellow sophomore Oscar Gagne won the frosh/soph boys division as Palisades took the top seven spots in today’s league meet.
League finals were Wednesday at Elysian Park and the City Section preliminaries are next Thursday at Pierce College.
