Two more stores have opened in Palisades Village: Vince on Saturday, Oct. 6, followed by Serena & Lily on Friday, Oct. 12.
“Over the past several months we have made excellent progress in advancing our direct-to-consumer channels by concentrating efforts on store openings in target markets,” Vince Chief Executive Officer Brendan Hoffman said in a statement. “Our Palisades Village store will allow us to further serve our existing Los Angeles customers in a uniquely California setting, offering them the opportunity to interact and engage with the brand in new and exciting ways.”
This is the fifth Vince retail store to open this year, but the first Los Angeles-area store to “fully represent the brand’s California roots in terms of design and presentation,” according to a press release.
The brand offers a line of clothing for men and women, including shoes, sweaters, shirts dresses, pants, jackets, outerwear and more.
The Palisades Village space features a neutral color palette and architectural details, which the brand included in hopes of inviting visitors to experience the “warmth and simplicity of the California coastal lifestyle.”
“Our goal in designing the Palisades Village store was to create an environment that represents Vince in its most authentic form,” Creative Director Caroline Belhumeur said. “Juxtaposing natural elements of wood, stone and water against the rich fabrics and textiles of the collection, we’re able to convey a sense of uncomplicated California luxury.”
Serena & Lily—located up the street from Vince on Swarthmore—opened its ninth brick-and-mortar shop on Friday, Oct. 12. The California-style home decor shop will feature items curated with the Palisadian home in mind.
Each of Serena & Lily’s shops are unique to the area they serve. The Palisades Village iteration is designed to welcome in natural light—with large windows that the installation of caused a one-week delay in the store’s grand opening.
Throughout the shop, customers will find items that range from beds to tables to chairs and more.
“The walls will display a rotating gallery of one-of-a-kind works from an ever-evolving art collection,” a brand representative told the Palisadian-Post ahead of the store opening.
Located at the back of the store is the Serena & Lily design shop, which allows Palisadians to customize their purchase—with a wall with over 300 swatches available to look through.
