As students gear up for a new school year at Palisades Elementary, third grader Cole Prawer presented principal Joan Ingle with a check for $1,000 to benefit the school’s music program.
The donation came from proceeds generated by the sale of Cole’s Book, an illustrated hardback that includes 10 of Prawer’s original songs.

The book is being sold to raise money for local charities, including the music program at Pali Elementary and Westside Food Bank, where Prawer recently donated $1,500.
Prawer, who is deaf in one ear, takes lessons on piano, violin and harmonica at Amazing Music. He wrote his first song at the age of five.
“I was just singing about random things, and I wrote the song ‘Say What You Say,’ and it just kind of happened,” Prawer told the Post. “I write all of my songs about big things like the world and love. Some of them can be read as poems too.”
Prawer’s song “Everyone Has A Wonderland” is available on iTunes. Proceeds will benefit Pali Elementary. Visit aboyofhisword.tumblr.com for more information.
