Softball standout Molly Tenenbaum is making the most of her senior season at Palisades High. Through the Dolphins’ first four games, she led the squad with eight hits and seven RBIs, including one double, two triples and two home runs in 13 at-bats for a whopping 1.461 slugging percentage and .643 on-base percentage. She had a team-best four steals and seven runs scored.
The pitcher/first baseman has also led the way in the circle, tossing 19 innings with 26 strikeouts, including six strikeouts and zero hits allowed in four innings last Tuesday in a 9-1 league victory over Hamilton.
Third baseman Hailey Heirigs added seven hits, three RBIs and five runs in 14 at-bats and sophomore catcher/outfielder Maia Fuller had five hits, three RBIs and two runs in the first four games.
Coach Manny Flores re-took the reigns of the program last spring but the season was canceled after only two games because of COVID-19. Flores coached the Dolphins from 2013-15, compiling a 36-20 record.
