The 1980 film “Xanadu,” starring Olivia Newton-John, was so risible it inspired the creation of the Razzie awards for worst movie of the year.
Yet the music by Electric Light Orchestra was, in the word of one hit song, “magic,” and that is also what had been rekindled by the Theater Palisades Youth group.
They are putting their own version of the Venice Beach-set supernatural comedy at Theatre Palisades, 941 Temescal Canyon Road, this coming weekend.
