Theatre Palisades presents the George Furth comedy ‘The Supporting Cast’ through May 20 at Pierson Playhouse, 941 Temescal Canyon Dr. Directed by Susan Stangl and produced by Sherry Coon, the show runs the gamut from slapstick to satire. The Getty Villa continues its Family Festival series with ‘Aphrodite and the Gods of Love,’ 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Villa in Pacific Palisades. The Temescal Canyon Association hikers will take the beautiful trail up Santa Ynez Canyon to Trippet Ranch and meet with Sierra Club groups to celebrate John Muir’s birthday, a round trip of about 6 miles. The public is invited. Meet for carpooling at 9 a.m. in the Temescal Gateway parking lot, corner of Sunset and Temescal Canyon Road. Bring water, but no dogs. The Pacific Palisades Historical Society will hold a special fundraiser featuring the intriguing tale of the Getty Museum’s pursuit of Greek and Roman antiquities, 7 p.m. at Pierson Playhouse, 941 Temescal Canyon Rd.

Palisades High School alumni, community members and current students are invited to celebrate 50 years of the school’s Visual and Performing Arts department with a weekend of activities, starting tonight with the annual showcase of student work in ceramics, painting, drawing, photography, film and performances, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Mercer Hall.
