Monthly Palisades Beautiful board meeting, 3 p.m. at the Palisades Branch Library, 861 Alma Real. Residents are invited’to attend, to’request trees to be planted in front of their homes or’present particular problems with parkway trees. The organization helps to’beautify the Palisades community’s residential areas and public parks by planting trees and caring for garden areas.

Temescal Canyon Association’s Tuesday Night Hike will start in Santa Monica Canyon and explore Palisades Park and the bridges over PCH. Meet for carpooling at 6 p.m. in the Temescal Gateway parking lot, corner of Sunset and Temescal Canyon Road. Expect to be back about 8 to 8:30 p.m. No dogs. Information: visit temcanyon.org.
