  The Teen Saturday Matinee Movie features ‘What Is the Electric Car?’ a 2010 documentary film, beginning at 2 p.m., followed by a Q&A with some of the cast in the Palisades Branch Library community room, 861 Alma Real. Each attendee will be given one raffle ticket upon entrance for door prizes including T-shirts and DVDs of the film. Free admission.

  Monthly meeting of the Pacific Palisades Civic League, 7:30 p.m. in the Methodist Church lounge, 801 Via de la Paz. The public is invited.   Temescal Canyon Association’s Tuesday Night Hike will take the loop trail in Temescal Gateway Park and end with supper under the stars.   Pacific Palisades Community Council meeting, 7 p.m. in the Palisades Branch Library community room, 861 Alma Real. The public is invited. The featured speaker will be State Senator Ted Lieu (D-Torrance), who will begin representing Pacific Palisades following the November elections, when Fran Pavley’s term ends. She is running for state senate in a new district.
