The Teen Saturday Matinee Movie features ‘What Is the Electric Car?’ a 2010 documentary film, beginning at 2 p.m., followed by a Q&A with some of the cast in the Palisades Branch Library community room, 861 Alma Real. Each attendee will be given one raffle ticket upon entrance for door prizes including T-shirts and DVDs of the film. Free admission.

Pacific Palisades Community Council meeting, 7 p.m. in the Palisades Branch Library community room, 861 Alma Real. The public is invited. The featured speaker will be State Senator Ted Lieu (D-Torrance), who will begin representing Pacific Palisades following the November elections, when Fran Pavley’s term ends. She is running for state senate in a new district.
