Volunteers are sought to help dig holes, plant, weed and water at the native plant garden in Temescal Canyon Park, just south of Bowdoin Street, any time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Community-service credits for environmental work are available for students. Temescal Canyon Association’s Tuesday Night Hike will hunt out Castellammare’s hidden stairways. Meet at 6 p.m. in the Temescal Gateway parking lot, corner of Sunset and Temescal Canyon Road. Expect to be back about 8 to 8:30 p.m. No dogs. Information: visit temcanyon.org.
