Theatre Palisades presents ‘Moonlight and Magnolias,’ a comedy set in the golden age of Hollywood, 8 p.m. at the Pierson Playhouse, 941 Temescal Canyon Rd. The Pacific Palisades Junior Women’s Club holds its annual Holiday Home Tour and Boutique, featuring five local homes (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and more than 50 gift vendors at Mercer Hall on the Palisades High campus, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (See stories, page 1, page 13 and in the Real Estate section).
Pianist David Syme will explore the interrelationships between traditional Jewish music and classical music in a 3 p.m. concert at Kehillat Israel, 16019 Sunset.

‘The Santa Monica Mountains: Range on the Edge,’ by Matthew Jaffe, with photographs by Tom Gamache, will be discussed at a free Culture in the Canyon program at 7:30 p.m. in Woodland Hall in Temescal Gateway Park, corner of Sunset and Temescal Canyon Road. Admission and parking are free. Jaffe and Gamache will both speak and provide a visual tour of the local mountains.
