Residents are invited to attend if they have a problem with parkway trees on their street, want to have a designated parkway tree planted in front of their homes, or are interested in joining the new Palisades Tree Task Force that will address the growing number of serious street-tree problems in the community.

Kids, teens and adults are invited to the monthly Harry Potter Film Festival s it screens the third of eight films, ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,’ 2 p.m. at the Palisades Branch Library, 861 Alma Real. Admission is free. Join in the fun and play the Harry Potter Trivia Quiz and possibly win a prize. Ask for the quiz at the Reference Desk and bring it completed to the movie.
The public is invited to join an easy one-mile walk in Temescal Gateway Park and discover how the Chumash used the natural resources of their environment for thousands of years to create a sustainable way of life, 4 p.m. Meet at the entrance parking lot off Sunset. Parking is $7.
