  Woody Allen’s ‘You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger’ screens at 1 p.m. at the Palisades Branch Library, 861 Alma Real, as part of the library’s monthly Saturday Movie Matinee series. Free admission. The R-rated film stars former Honorary Mayor Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas, Josh Brolin, Gemma Jones, Freida Pinto, Lucy Punch and Naomi Watts, and is the story of two couples who find their lives turned upside down by unfulfilled longings.

  The Pacific Palisades Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly mixer, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at El Cholo restaurant, 1025 Wilshire, in Santa Monica. The public is invited to enjoy hosted hors d’oeuvres, a no-host beverage bar and a drawing for gifts donated by Chamber members. Admission is free for Chamber members; $25 for non-members.
