Joe Biden, the Vice President of the United States, is not coming to Pacific Palisades on his latest visit to the Southland on Monday, Nov. 16 through Tuesday, Nov. 17. However, if you are traveling throughout the City of Los Angeles on these days, you may want to be aware of areas to avoid to prevent possible traffic delays.
In an effort to assist the public in avoiding possible traffic congestion in LA during Biden’s visit on Monday and Tuesday, LAPD has provided the following information on areas to avoid when possible.
MONDAY, NOV. 16, 2015
The area around S. Alameda Street between E. 4th Street and E. 6th Street from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The area around S. Figueroa Street between W. Olympic Bl and Wilshire Bl from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The area around W. Pico Blvd between Overland Ave and Century Park East from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m.
The area around Avenue of the Stars between W. Pico Bl and W. Olympic Bl from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The area around Santa Monica Bl between Beverly Dr and S. Beverly Glen Bl from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Closures / Restrictions (no bus routes impacted by the hard closures)
LAX Airport
NB and SB lanes of Sepulveda Blvd between Lincoln Blvd and Century Blvd will be closed to vehicular traffic for an eight minute period between the approximate hours of 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2015.
Palmetto Street, Los Angeles, CA
Medium to large size trucks will be restricted on Palmetto Street between S. Alameda Street and Mateo Street from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2015.
Hewitt Street, Los Angeles, CA
Hewitt Street will be closed between Palmetto Street and E. 5th Street from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2015.
Colyton Street, Los Angeles, CA
Colyton Street will be closed between Palmetto Street and E. 5th Street from approximately 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2015.
Merv Griffin Way, Beverly Hills, CA
Merv Griffin Way between Wilshire Blvd and Santa Monica Blvd will be closed to southbound traffic from 10:00 a.m. on Nov. 16, 2015 to 9:00 a.m. on Nov. 17, 2015.
S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA
Medium to large size trucks and parking on S. Figueroa Street between 7th Street and 8th Street will be restricted from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Nov., 2015.
Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA
Medium to large size trucks will be restricted on Santa Monica Blvd between Avenue of the Stars and Wilshire Blvd from 7:00 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2015 to 8:00 a.m. on Nov. 17, 2015.
TUESDAY, NOV. 17, 2015
The area around Santa Monica Blvd between Wilshire Blvd and Sawtelle Blvd from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
