Palisades Podcast, hosted by Maryam Zar and Steve Cron, will sit down with Palisadian Cindy Simon and talk to her about being a politician’s wife in the early part of the century, her work as a philanthropist, her commitment to climate and sustainability, as well as equity and inclusion for its July episode.
Each year, Simon creates a festive display for Fourth of July. In 2022, she repurposed plastic jugs, turning them into sustainable art, which were on display at her home and as part of the Palisades-Malibu YMCA’s float.
Simon was also instrumental in providing early support to the Pacific Palisades Task Force on Homelessness as it was forming and founded—along with her husband—the Alliance Cindy & Bill Simon Technology Academy High, which gives underserved student populations a chance to learn and succeed in the world of tech.
