Staged
It was sad to read about the lawsuit between interior designer and home staging queen Meredith Baer, and her nephew and niece who have started their own practice, allegedly with stolen property and trade secrets. If the lawsuit results in the forced sale of the defendants’ home, I only hope there’s not another fight over who will stage it.
Norris
Has the community issued an apology to the Post for calling them “fake news” back when they first reported Norris was going out of business? I think the huge “Store Closing Sale” sign is proof they were right all along.
Changes
Your paper was happy to respond to my 2 Cents inquiry last year about sudden retirement of ophthalmologist, the recently deceased Dr. Mark Sawusch, and give readers all sorts of sad details, but no response has been forthcoming to my recent telephone 2 Cents inquiry about details as to disappearance of John Harlow as editor-in-chief (and frequent reporter), and change to Editor-in-Chief Sarah Shmerling. I request again: Details please.
(Editor’s note: The Post announced details of Sarah taking over as editor-in-chief on Page 2 of the June 28 edition. For any further questions, please reach out to her directly at sarah@palipost.com.)
Fiji I
I don’t agree with the writer who complained about the Palisadian who rented a Fijian island for the enjoyment of 12 families. The Palisadian’s generosity made possible a treasured experience for the families. The Fijian economy (as well as our local economy) is heavily dependent on tourism, and the money spent on this trip no doubt helped Fijians and others feed their families (and possibly diminish “inequality”). Please keep publishing pictures of people enjoying their time with family and friends.
Fiji II
Wow … I find it so hypocritical that those bemoaning the current state of affairs and its injustice and toxicity are the first to blindly lash out and judge others. The Clarks are one of the nicest families in the Palisades, and the last ones to ever be ostentatious or cruel, or to criticize and judge their neighbors. The author of “Not So Picture Perfect” would do well by getting to know the Clarks—not only would they benefit from knowing this wonderful family, but they would also learn that the Clarks don’t pay for the trip to Fiji, they arrange it for their many friends and family.
Coyotes
There have been numerous coyote sightings in the past few weeks. My 20-pound rescue chihuahua was snatched by one two weeks ago. He was wearing coyote armor, so the coyote couldn’t keep his grip on his neck. He dropped my dog and he was able to run to safety. If you have small dogs, I highly recommend coyote armor. I sent a photo of the collar to the company and they are sending me a new one as one of the spikes fell off during the encounter.
Kudos
Kudos to Elle Feldman for challenging the Liberal Left in “Tell Me In Your Words” and also kudos to the Liberal-Leaning Post for printing it.
