The Palisadian homes of television personality and property mogul Tyra Banks are up for sale at $9.25 and $4.25 million, respectively. James Respondek and Heidi Lake of Sotheby’s International Realty hold the listings, both of which are located near the soon-to-be Caruso shopping center.
The former is a triple-story threat designed by architect Douglas Breidenbach.
It sits high atop the sprawling hills of Mount Holyoke Avenue, and boasts five bedrooms and five full bathrooms, totaling 6,135 square feet of bliss.
High ceilings, ocean views, plenty of windows to let light spill in, inner courtyard, outdoor terrace, media room, roomy kitchen that cooking enthusiasts would salivate at, a gated entrance, and a separate outdoor kitchen to seal the deal.
The closet has a distinct “Sex and the City” vibe—larger than many bedrooms. “A true trophy property,” the listing declared. According to the Los Angeles Times, Banks bought the house as an investment in 2014 for $7.35 million.
The second property sits on Galloway Street near the main drag of Palisades Village and is, unsurprisingly, equally spacious, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, totaling 3,700 square feet. It was built in 2014.
“Spectacular contemporary with soaring ceilings, open floor plan and pocket sliders creating disappearing walls for a quintessential California lifestyle,” the listing stated.
For the time being, Banks is keeping her additional Pacific Palisades residence that she purchased for $6.995 million early in 2018.
She also owns a 7,000-square-foot duplex apartment in New York City that has been listed for sale several times and never sold.
In April, Banks published a book called “Perfect is Boring: 10 Things My Crazy, Fierce Momma Taught Me About Beauty, Booty and Being a Boss.” While it’s true that the adjective “perfect” can carry a notion of dullness, the visual profile of Banks’ two houses epitomize the best version of perfection.
