Hamilton put forth a spirited effort in its upset bid against Palisades before the host Dolphins ultimately prevailed, 25-15, 25-6, 22-25, 25-10, in Thursday’s Western League girls volleyball match.
After breezing through the first two sets trouble free the Dolphins had a hiccup in the third set similar to the second set in their previous match at Venice, before righting the ship to close out the match. Palisades improved to 3-0 in league and travels to University next Tuesday before returning home to take on undefeated Fairfax on Thursday.
Palisades’ junior varsity swept Hamilton, 25-9, 25-15, and on Saturday the frosh/soph team is scheduled to play in the Venice Tournament, beginning at 8 0’clock in the morning.
