Rick Caruso’s latest building project was a poolside tent at his Brentwood home, thrown open on Tuesday, April 17, to celebrate the role of women entrepreneurs at the forthcoming Palisades Village.
The event was co-hosted by Elyse Walker, of towne, and Jennifer Meyer, jewelry designer, who are both opening stores in the project. They welcomed the latest arrival, New York stylist Andrea Lieberman of A.L.C., who will be opening her first West Coast bricks and mortar store next to Meyer’s store.
Keeping the gastronomy in-house, the four courses included food by chef Renee Erickson (General Porpoise) and Laurel Gallucci (Sweet Laurel Bakery).
The 60 guests included Hannah Skvarla (The Little Market), Lisa Kraynak (Carbon38), and Bethany Mayer and Leilana Bishop of Botanica Bazaar. Other guests included Selma Blair, Jaime King, Molly Sims and Giada De Laurentiis.
Rick Caruso revealed that 20 tenants at the project will be women: “That’s going to breathe life into the project,” he said.
