Armav
I just want to highly recommend a year old Mediterranean restaurant in the Palisades called Armav that was simply delicious with excellent services!
Wesley
Love reading about Pali High senior Wesley Wells and how he plays the violin and his love of baseball. Claremont McKenna College is getting a wonderful student.
Pickleball
So no more pickleball at Pali Tennis Center. I was a participant. I live across Potrero Canyon and hear everything happening over at the park. All wonderful sounds of baseball, parents cheering, kids playing, adult softball games (on weeknights BTW), the “dink” of kids batting practice year round, even into the night. I hear the thump of tennis balls, and yes, pickleballs. It all echoes and reverberates through the canyon. So why was pickleball made the bad guy out of all the sounds coming from the park?
(Editor’s note: Pickleball is offered inside the big gym on Mondays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Palisades Recreation Center, according to Senior Facility Director Jasmine Dowlatshahi. It is also played on courts 1 and 3 at the tennis center. The Board of Recreation and Parks Commissioners conducted several sound tests, Dowlatshahi explained, and the facility was determined to be unable to accommodate official pickleball courts at the park due to the noise.)
Gratitude
I’m so grateful to be a part of a community where students partake in Fridays for Future!
Marquez
We need a coffee shop to open in Marquez Knolls. Anyone with me?
